Trotz Ramadan und allen anderen Hürden die das Leben so bietet,
haben es Mahmoud eins, Mahmoud zwei, Sharif und Victory
bis zur Infoveranstaltung an der Uni geschafft.
Dahlia und Ibrahim haben übersetzt.
Sophia hat von der weißen Rose erzählt und uns in die kleine Mensa eingeladen.
Nach Hause ging es durch den Englischen Garten,
die Wellenreiter am Haus der Kunst fesselten besonders,
und der Hofgarten wurde als perfekter Platz zum Shisharauchen ausgemacht.

   Participation:

   General elegibility conditions:
– Certificate of competence in German (B1 level)
– Proof of eligibility for admission to university or original academic transcripts
– Informal application to the Project Coordinator at the International Office Curriculum vitae (CV) + Personal motivation letter indicating what subjects you would     like to study
– Letter of recommendation from an LMU Faculty or a support organization (the International Office can put you in touch with suitable contacts). The letter should    confirm that the Faculty concerned supports the applicant’s wish to study.

  Immediate enrollment as a full-time university student may not always be possible —> LMU developed a preparatory program designed specifically for refugees       and asylum-seekers who do not have the option to attend the „Studienkolleg“. The program consists of the following elements:

– Language courses at „Deutschkurse bei der LMU“ http://www.dkfa.de/en or
– Online language courses: Uni-Online (all courses free of charge) —financed by DAAD program „Integra
– Workshops on „soft skills“ (cooperation with faculties)
– Temporary enrollment as a student (max. one year): all degree courses not medicine, not pharmacy etc.); option to collect credit points that can be transferred in a    regular study program

International students (non EU)

   General conditions for applying to a fulltime study program

– Certificate of proficiency in German (C1 level — i.e. Testda F, DSH etc.)
  (not required for Master’s Programs Taught in English or doctoral programs)
– Proof of eligibility for admission to university
   (equivalence to German School leaving Certificate — Abitur)
– Different countries —> different forms of equivalence —> preparatory course at the „Studienkolleg“
– Different types of degree courses —> parallel applications at different faculties may be necessary (Academic aptitude test („Eignungsfeststellungsverfahren“),

  Preregistration
  „Voranmeldung“, Application (limited courses)
  Individual check necessary

– Health insurance card
– Proof of residence status (check with local migrational authorities, if participation in a full time program is possible)

  The semester Fee at LMMU currently amounts to 117 Euro per semester.
  Deadline of application: 15th of January, 15 th of July

Preparatory Course – Studienkolleg

  For international students from certain countries and depending on the type and/or level of the school leaving certificates or previous studies at an university, the     participation in a preparatory course may be obligatory—> „indirect university admission“

  Database on foreign educational equivalences.

 „Anerkennung and Bewertung ausländischer Bildungsnachweise“

– Admission to the „Studienkolleg“ is only possible by applying for a specific undergraduate degree course at an University/University of Applied Sciences —> the       university admission’s office issues a notification indicating the participation in an preparatory course at „Studienkolleg“
   —> Universities of applied sciences – Studienkolleg Coburg
   —> Universities – Studienkolleg München

– Limited number of places available —> admission test
– LMU requieres german proficiency at the level of B2
